2 States closed its first day with spectacular numbers, reeling in over Rs 12 crore on Friday. The Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt-starrer is also expected to clock in strong numbers on its second day. Distributors believe the film will wrap its weekend at around Rs 35 crore plus and will have a spectacular week ahead.

2 States took an extraordinary start yesterday and the ticket counters saw a similar turnout today. The film is expected to garner over Rs 4 crore and Rs 11 crore in Mumbai and all-India, respectively. As for the weekend, the numbers will be close to Rs 12.5 crore in Mumbai and Rs 35 crore plus all-India.

Despite the IPL season, 2 States opened to marvellous numbers and we expect it to get a similar response on its second day. Today, the film will reel in Rs 2 crore in the Delhi -P region. The weekend looks promising as well and the film is expected to ring in over Rs 7 crore.

Alia Bhatt and ArjunKapoor have proved that they are here to stay. Both their previous films, Gunday and Highway, were appreciated by the audience and now 2 States has proved they have a strong fan following. In East Punjabi, the Saturday numbers will be around Rs 1-1.2 crore and the weekend numbers could hit Rs 3.5 crore.

Today’s box office numbers will be similar to yesterdays. In West Bengal, the evening shows may dip a little due to the IPL match. Nevertheless, the film will wrap Rs 55 lakh today and the weekend around Rs 2.4 crore.

2 States will enjoy a smooth ride over the weekend. Both Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor have shown that the new brigade of actors can captivate the audience just like any other big star. Today, the film will collect a little more than Rs 13 lakh and, as for the weekend, I think the numbers will be close to Rs 50 lakh.

The film earned Rs 1 crore on its opening day and will earn Rs 1.25 crore today in Mysore. The film is a beautiful mix of the contemporary and traditional and the family audience loves it. The weekend numbers will be Rs 3.6 crore for sure.
